CU’s Denver Area Young Alumni

In this tough economy, a networking night has never been so needed. As requested, our next event will be on the north side of town at the Fox & Hound Westminster. Are you looking for a job, looking to expand your customer base, looking to hire? This event is for you. Join other CU alumni for a night of networking, socializing and mentoring. You will have the opportunity to meet up to 30 people. Appetizers will be included all for the bargain price of $30.

After a successful wine tasting in September, we have decided to give it another go. This time the theme is Big, Rich, Holiday Reds. Ticket price includes appetizers and we will be raffling off a Wine Class for Two.

Our last watch party of the season will be this Friday, November 28th for the game against NEBRASKA. Blake Street Tavern is again your official watch party location. Blake Street is located at 2401 Blake Street in LoDo. Parking is available all along the front of the building, the lot west of the Fisher building and at 24th and Walnut. Please click here for Blake Street parking options. The game starts at 1:30pm, but please arrive early for best seating. The back room will be for young alumni. Be sure to visit our table for lots of goodies. Specials include $15 buckets of Coors Light, $5 24oz. cans of Coors, $3 off wings, $5 specialty appetizers (Spinach artichoke dip, Hummus, Southwest Eggrolls and BBQ pulled pork sliders), $5 Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey shots, $3 draft Coors/Coors Light and $4 Black & Gold shots when CU scores!

We have secured a block of tickets to Opening Night of the 31st Starz Denver Film Festival. The red carpet premiere of “The Brothers Bloom” will be Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. The Brothers Bloom are the best con men in the world, swindling millionaires with complex scenarios of lust and intrigue. Now they’ve decided to take on one last job – showing a beautiful and eccentric heiress the time of her life with a romantic adventure. The attire will be semi-formal, and several of the director and/or talent will likely be there. Tickets are a steal at only $30 each. CU Young Alumni Nuggets Night Friday, November 7thCome out and join your fellow Buffs for a night at the Pepsi Center to watch the Nuggets take on Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, November 7th. Tip-off is at 8:30 and we will be meeting up for drinks at Brooklyn’s before the game at 7:00pm. Look for our CU Young Alums banner. We have secured a block of tickets together in the upper level and they will go fast. Tickets must be purchased from our website and we will have them for you to pick up at the pre-game party at Brooklyn’s. If you are unable to pick up your tickets at the pre-party, they will be left for you at will call at approximately 8:15pm.
